This is The Guiding Light. It represents my view of heaven. I used photoshop to layer all the images and I added the shadows and the lens glare. I then went into flash and made the rock layers bounce, the light twinkle, and the angel fly across the screen. It shows heaven as another planet in another galaxy. It seems unearthly and I think heaven captures both of those things.
4 years agoI chose to describe a picture recently posted on wefeelfine.org expressing someone’s hurt for the loss of Heath Ledger. Heath Ledger was a fairly popular actor among our generation of actors who recently died of a drug overdose in New York City. After looking at the picture and the quote, I started thinking to myself who was behind the feeling. Right away I knew it was someone young. Heath Ledger is a newly popular actor so I would say the oldest person posting this is 28 but he or she could also be as young as 16. Then I started thinking it was a girl. Heath Ledger was a good looking actor, and I think his popular films portray him as a heart throb. I also wouldn’t expect the picture posted from a male. The picture shows a close up shot of pink flowers, like the kind of picture you would find on a prayer card. I do not understand the significance of the pink flowers. Pink is not a mourning color, and I think the picture and the quote really clash. The flower itself isn’t a mourning type flower. It kind of looks like something you would find in a desert, the type that does not need much water to survive.
Maybe the creator is trying to show that there is life after death. By showing the flowers in their natural state, you get a sense of life, even though she is mourning the death of someone she cared about. I think the picture quality is terrible. If the creator really cared about the loss of Heath Ledger, I think a better picture could have been chosen. This picture is both blurry and not very empathetic.
